FieldLens Privacy Policy

FieldLens Privacy Policy

Effective date: 09/25/2026

This policy explains what information the FieldLens mobile app (“FieldLens,” “the app”) handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. FieldLens is published by Bearon Heeler Acquisitions LLC, d/b/a NorthStar Claims Consulting (“we,” “us”).

  1. Summary
  • FieldLens has no user accounts and no login.
  • Your inspections, photos, notes, signatures, report templates, and profile are stored on your device. We do not receive them.
  • When you choose to import a loss notice, the file is sent to our extraction service so it can read the fields for you. The service processes the file in memory to extract the fields and does not store the file afterward.
  • Subscriptions are handled by Google Play and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat.
  • The app has no ads, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
  1. Information stored only on your device

FieldLens stores the following in the app’s private storage on your device:

  • Inspection details you enter or import (insured or claimant name, property address, carrier, claim number, inspection type, notes, vehicle details)
  • Photos you take or add, with the date, time, and, if you allow location access, the GPS coordinates where each photo was taken
  • Damage records, room and slope details, and signatures captured for waivers
  • Carrier report templates you import
  • Your profile (name, company, email, phone), which prints on your reports

We cannot see or access this information. It leaves your device only when you share it, for example when you send a report through the share sheet, save photos to your gallery, or export a ZIP file. The app you share to handles it under its own policy.

  1. Information sent off your device

Loss-notice import (optional)

When you tap “Import from loss notice” or “Photograph loss notice,” the selected PDF or photo is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the FieldLens extraction service, which we operate. The service reads the document in memory using an AI model, provided through OpenRouter, which routes the request to an Anthropic Claude model, and returns the extracted fields (such as names, address, carrier, claim number, and loss details) to the app. The document is not written to disk or stored after the response is returned. The request also includes your app’s RevenueCat subscriber ID so the service can confirm an active FieldLens Pro subscription and apply daily usage limits.

Loss notices usually contain personal information about insureds and claimants. Only import notices you are authorized to process.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Google Play. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and an anonymous app user ID. We do not receive your payment card details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

  1. Device permissions
  • Camera: to take inspection photos and photograph loss notices.
  • Location (while using the app): to tag inspection photos with GPS coordinates. Coordinates stay on your device unless you share a photo or export.
  • Photos: the app adds photos from your gallery through the Android photo picker, which shares only the photos you pick.

You can turn permissions off in your device settings. Features that need them will ask again.

  1. How we use information

We use the information sent to us only to provide the app’s features: reading loss notices you import, confirming your subscription, and preventing abuse of the extraction service. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

  1. Sharing

We do not share information with third parties except the service providers named above, which process it on our behalf, or when required by law.

  1. Retention and deletion
  • On-device data: delete an inspection in the app (Inspections list), or uninstall the app to remove all FieldLens data from the device. Uninstalling does not cancel your subscription; cancel in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions.
  • Server-side data: the extraction service does not retain the loss-notice file or its extracted fields after the response is sent. To ask a question about how we handle data, contact us at [email protected].
  1. Security

Data sent by the app travels over HTTPS. On-device data is protected by your device’s own security; keep your device locked.

  1. Children

FieldLens is a professional tool for insurance adjusters and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

  1. Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date.
